Cupid's Arrow Caprese Skewers

Cupid's Arrow Caprese Skewers

Jessalyn Ferguson

Pierce your lover right through the heart with these guys; for legal reasons I mean metaphorically of course. Make a whole bunch of them and take them to a Galentines party, or just make a few for your romantic Valentine’s dinner at home. Either way these go down easy and they’re actually pretty healthy!

You'll need:

Produce

  • 1lb Grape tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves

Dairy

  • 200g bocconcini cheese balls

Pantry

  • Balsamic glaze
  1. Prepare tomatoes by washing, then slicing diagonally as pictured
  2. Flip one half of each tomato and line them up to make a heart shape (there’s really no other way to explain this)
  3. Assemble skewers symmetrically:
    • basil leaf
    • bocconcini ball
    • tomato heart
    • bocconcini ball
    • basil leaf
  4. Optional: drizzle with a balsamic glaze

Don't worry bestie, I'm a visual learner too. Here's some step by step pictures for how to cut the tomatoes:

My tips: Sometimes two bottoms look better together, feel free to mix and match after you've cut them.
